A strange fact from the history of the World Cup

In 1950, the Indian national team withdrew from the World Cup. As a reason for this, the official statement states that although the Indian Football Federation indicated that a trip to South America (Brazil) would cost the country more, it was in fact a different reason than the most common one. FIFA did not allow Indians to play football.
